Out from the blue, we are greeted with Monkey knowledge packs, which is a way to improve your towers and level them up. March 12th 2015 (A long time from last significant update) rolls around.

The second city was never included on mobile sadly. Also, the artwork for the monkeys got updated as well. With the addition of a second city also comes the MONKEY ENGINEER FOR FLASH (Normally on BTD5 Steam and Mobile). The second land includes more tracks to unlock, more tile types and more special missions. Your second city would unlock at level 15 and you could start it whenever you wanted to. On October 10th, 2014, the game was updated to include a second land called BLOON DUNES (An arid-like map)! Your first city would spawn in the lands called the Grassy Pass. Hardcore mode was not a thing on mobile either. In flash, you earned the tile you defended, but on mobile, you simply just defend the wall of your city, not claiming the tile in the process. Bloontonium, the precious resource that fuelled bloon attacks, was a percentage based thing and not a resource, which meant once your tanks on your factory were %100 full, you could launch an attack. The mobile version was quite different from the flash version as NLL bonuses weren't even worth it except for in the long run. It included all the new towers in BTD5 Mobile and Steam, which were obtainable by completing their respective special mission.
#BLOONS TD5 DAILY CHALLENGE FOR FREE#
You could get it for free with in-game app purchases. If you met those milestones, you would be rewarded with bloonstones, city cash and other various rewards depending on what round you got to and how long you held the territory.ĭecember 4th, 2014: The Mobile version of the game was released. There would be round milestones and occupational milestones. This allowed you to compete against 5 other players to see who could control the territory the longest. On June 23rd, 2014, Contested Territory was added into the game (It was originally supposed to be released on the 6th but it had to be shut down for repairs). It made the game harder by changing certain waves on a normal tile, increasing bloon speed and making your towers more expensive, just like the hard difficulty on BTD5. We were introduced to a new bloon that is now present in the latest bloon tower defence gamesįebruary 20th: We could select hardcore mode which doubled the amount of cash, bloonstones and (If defending a MvM attack) bloontonium. We captured tiles from the bloons and played special missions and such. During that time we got to do cool things such as Monkey vs Monkey, which allowed you to steal money from other players with bloon attacks and defend against their attacks in a shockingly stressful game as your bank could be decimated and if you couldn't pay, a lot of your buildings would get damaged if you failed. It's been nearly 6-7 years that Bloons Monkey City has been out.
